Oooops, doesn't seem to be any... Why not be the first?
Splendour 2006 through the eyes, ears and nose of a curious observer.
More than 17,000 eager punters invaded Byron Bay for Splendour in the Grass 2006. Day One's awesome line-up featured bands such as Dungen, Death Cab for Cutie, Something for Kate and Sonic Youth.
After years locked in a 17th century house in the Swedish countryside, Dungen appear in a flurry of tie die and paisley.
Another Splendour weekend passes us by with an excitable frenzy of musical activity. This is just three of the many thousands of choose-your-own-adventures that were available to those that made the pilgrimage to Byron Bay. Chesh, Carlos and Mel tell their Splendour stories. Photo CS Photography
So you've read the name somewhere, possibly heard their song 'Panda' on the radio but want to find out more about Dungen? Fret not, FasterLouder will teach you all you need to know about these Swedish folk-prog-rockers, as guided by main man Gustav Ejstes.
Although the band are still overseas on a quest for world domination, it seems that their popularity isn't suffering at all at home; as the last few tickets to their Adelaide show in July are being hungrily snapped up, the band have been forced to announce a second Adelaide show!
After months of endless touring and promotion Wolfmother are finally set to return home for a string of shows. If that wasn't enough, they'll be joined by Swedish retro-futurist, prog rock, jazz experimentalists Dungen.
On '4', Dungen artfully fuses jazz with progressive and psychedelic rock to create a quality, mostly instrumental album.
Welcome back the scandinavian prog-rockers Dungen, just the boys to make prog cool again!
