More than 17,000 eager punters invaded Byron Bay for Splendour in the Grass 2006. Day One's awesome line-up featured bands such as Dungen, Death Cab for Cutie, Something for Kate and Sonic Youth.
While best known as the frontman of indie outfit City City City, Ned Collette's musical history draws on a broad sound pallet: an honours degree in modern composition, works for string quartets, and playing for a number of OS outfits... Collette spreads his wings further, with a solo release.
Mogwai have just announced a whirlwind tour of the east coast this July.
