FasterLouder is rather pleased to present the Arctic Monkeys’ first ever Australian tour in July and August!
After breaking the record in the UK for the fastest selling debut ever, the success continues in Australia for the Arctic Monkeys with their album ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not’ debuting on the ARIA charts at #1 in February. It has been a phenomenal few months for the band, not only topping charts on opposite sides of the globe, but enjoying universal critical acclaim for their album. This time, the hype seems completely justified! Just ask UK’s influential NME magazine who ranked the band’s debut at No. 5 on a recent list of the greatest British albums ever.
And speaking of NME…the Sheffield quartet collected three major trophies at the recent NME Awards, including Best British Band and Best New British Band, firmly cementing them as the darlings of Britain’s music scene. The Monkeys, whose album is approaching 1 million sales in the UK, in only a matter of weeks since its release, also won an award for Best New Track for “I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor.” They became the first act to win Best New Band and Best British Band in the same year.

From the moment Arctic Monkeys walk onstage to a twinkling introduction that sounds like a bad ‘70s TV theme, it’s clear this isn’t a typical concert DVD.
Shock! Band's first DVD not a series of grainy shots of live shows and the band members whining on the tour bus.
The Arctic Monkeys follow up single packs a punch, and you can dance to it too...
