Melbourne can be a tough crowd, and if the well crafted pop dance rock of The Cops had moved people to well, move, then Expatriate moved them to consider leaving.
I’m not sure who was more pleased about the coming together of Expatriate and The Cops on their ‘Strange Creatures tour, the band members or their fans. Whoever it was, the happy happy good times were a flowing.
It was a good sized crowd for a school night when The Cops and Expatriate played Amplifier on Thursday for what they thought would be a warm up gig for Friday’s show.
Expatriate and The Cops are in the middle of a nation wide tour, with each band on rotating headlining duties. Along for the ride are promising Newcastle upstarts The Seabellies
