Tucker B’s occupy the awkward space between delicate, ambient instrumental bands like Mogwai and no-holds-barred intensity that would scare the shit out of your cat. The band formed somewhere in Perth sometime in the 1990s and went through a series of lineup changes before Matt Rudas, Andrew Houston and Darren Nuttall settled on drummer Matt Maguire in 2003.
In 2005, the band released Bullets, which contained Triple J favourite The Turning as well as Bullets. The band moved to the East COast that same year, with current drummer Reid taking over from Maguire. In 2006, the quartet embarked on their biggest tour to date, supporting Wolfmother at arena gigs around the country. The follow-up to Chubby is expected later this year.
