Cog barely shift into top gear
Despite some raining on the parade, Sounds Of Spring turned out to be the scrappy little festival that could, thanks to sets from some of Australia's best live bands.
The first Badlands festival was a fine endorsement for Aussie rock and metal. If you missed it, I suggest you start kicking yourself.
The inaugural Coaster Festival dawned on a sun-drenched Central Coast day and despite some hiccups it was a promising first edition.
