There are few bands in Australia with a sound as distinct as that of Wolf & Cub. The Adelaide band’s fusion of experimental rock, stoner, psychedelia and punk has been turning heads since they emerged back in 2004.

Joel Byrne (vocals, guitar), Adam Edwards (drums, percussion), Joel Carey (drums/percussion) and Tom Mayhew (bass) burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut EP at the end of 2004 and it didn’t take them long to start winning fans. Early in 2005, they supported The Music, and they went on to share the stage with the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Death From Above 1979 and The Killers.

The four-piece released debut album Vessels in Septmeber last year and followed that up with extensive touring around the nation. After their duties at home were complete, the guys set off on tours of Japan and Europe with Wolfmother. Recently returning to our shores, the band will head out for yet another national tour to promote new single This Mess.
