While favela beats and baile funk have gone global since Diplo and M.I.A blazed the blogosphere, few live acts have made their way from Brazil to our clubs. So the chance to see Bonde was clearly not to be missed.

Apart from the accessibility problems which are unavoidable at multi-venue events and the unfortunate alcohol restrictions, crowds everywhere were loving everything and everyone and there’s no doubt We Love Sounds will be back next year.
First impressions upon entering the AIS Arena for Saturday’s Warehouse Winter Music Festival - wow! The Friction/Lexington Music boys know how to throw a party! Following on from the success of Foreshore last December the boys decided to step it up.

To many music lovers, the idea of going into a boiling hot desert to see a bunch of bands play isn’t the wisest idea in the world. Yet for the majority of the punters at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, there was no better place to be.

I've been in this town for many years, but I've never seen a week so jammed pack full of events as this week is.
As the June long weekend approaches, a handful of indie-dance acts from the We Love Sounds tour - !!!, The Whip, Bonde do Role and Grand National - have announced more intimate sideshows.
You may have heard a member of Bonde Do Role on Triple J this morning taliking about their up coming Australian tour. What you may not have realised is that the whole eight piece are hitting Canberra as part of the Warehouse Winter Music Festival.

Following news that all was not well in camp Bonde do Role, it wasn’t long before the Brazilian party agents called off their Australian tour. Now it transpires that the internal turmoil is down to the departure of the magnetic MC Marina Vello.
