Corinbank Festival 2010
Deliberately intimate. Incredibly beautiful. Totally immersive.
You never would have believed it, but according to the Press Release, You Am I are Virgins!
Seven albums into their career, and one of Australia’s favorute pub rock bands have confirmed they’ve signed a deal that will see the new album released in May on Virgin Records.
Tim Rogers is “calling it a comeback. We’re back fools! ... or ummm, we’re back, we’re fools!”.
Tim, Andy, Russell and David spent the best part of three months in and out of five different studios in 2005 with producer Greg Wales creating the soon to be released “Convicts” album.
Rusty describes it as “a little bit punk, a little bit psychedelic with a beating heart of pure energy”.
It’s a short sharp burst (36 minutes in fact) of 12 tracks that depict yet another chapter in what must be described as one of Australia’s most enduring and treasured bands.
The first single “It Aint Funny How We Don’t Talk Anymore” is being digitally released on 22nd April.
